Little boys & puppy dog tails

I don't think there is anything cuter than 3 little boys holding 3 little puppies all in a row? Do you? Especially with some of the cutest little darlings you've ever seen. I love sessions with kids and nature and love. Thank you, Jenny & Chad, for the most fun with your family session. Baby Joshua

My first newborn baby shoot went so great. Only problem is that baby Joshua does not look much like a newborn with his chubby arms and legs. Thank you, Joice and family, for a fabulous time gawking at your gorgeous little boy.

San Miguel Mission

Did you know the the mission was named after the Archangel Michael? I sure didn't. I thought it was named after the city of San Miguel. Well, duh? Maybe the city of Saint Michael was named after the mission. Anyhow, my family & I went there for a photo tour on Sunday after Thanksgiving. The weather was stormy and then cleared to a beautiful sunshine. Amazing that I've lived in SLO County 19 yeras and never been to this mission.

Prophetic Photography Beginnings

SaraJane is a gifted worship leader that I approached to be my first subject for prophetic photography. Amazing thing (totally God!) is that she was about to ask me to photograph her doing what she loves most, worshipping God through song and keyboard. This is just a bit of what is done so far. I have pictures in my mind of the finished art but some of it will take more time to complete. Thanks, SaraJane, for stepping out with me on this new adventure.

Early Thanksgiving!

Wow, tis the season for family and I am so glad that I got the opportunity to photograph 3 out of 4 of the sibs with Dad for an early turkey feast. Thanks, Chris, Sue, Tom and CB. You're a cute group. And Chopper the dog is the wildest! Perfect pet for a former hairstylist, huh? Notice that even he is looking at the camera. Amazing!

Family Session in the sunset of Shell Beach

Thank you, Billy, for inviting me to capture your reunion with your lovely daughter, Tawny, and granddaughter, Taryn. And God blessed it with a perfect sunset on a perfect day. Truly a joy to be there. Ohh, and your granddaughter is soooo cute!

Sunset at Montana de Oro

We live in such a fabulous place. I had the wonderful opportunity to show my sister from Oregon the gorgeous bluffs above Spooner's Cove at sunset today. She was so floored we never made it around the loop before the sun was down. Oh, but the things you notice when the sun is shining at that angle, like delicate spider webs.

Family Reunions

Last weekend, 6 of the women in my family met in a beachhouse in S.B. for 4 days. It was great to connect without kids, spouses or disasters. We try to do this every year and I'm so glad. Great memories are made and old ones revisited. The 1916 carousal in Chase Palm Park is one of 3 in the US. The other I remember from my home town, Long Beach. What do you think of our group photo guest all dressed for the season?

Watching "NungLuv" is amazing

On Facebook, a friend calls Anna and Andrew's affection for each other by the nickname "NungLuv" and I think it explains the unique and intense love they have for each other. I was privileged to witness that love close up during their photo session on Sunday while their young son was at Grandma's. Such an amazing love!

Even videographer in a pinch

This weekend was a full one as I videoed a rehearsal dinner and wedding in Shell Beach. Perfect weather and the most gorgeous couple. It was so exciting to see Brian & Jessica walking together with Hawaiian music in the background. Sea of Love, indeed!

The morning was a bit nippy today but the afternoon was in the 90s. Must be summer kicking hard to stay around. On vacation in SLO

Mary & Casey just left after a 10 day vacation in SLO. With Portland at 107 degrees, it was wonderful to languish in the gentle breezes here. Great photo shoot at the creek guys. Thanks!

Busy and changing

The weather in SLO is sure different than the heavy fog this week in Los Osos. I did a shoot in Shell Beach on Sat, July 25, and in SLO this last Friday. Great weather sure makes a big difference, but then I love natural lighting.

Spring is here and I love it!

I've been busy working, traveling and shooting. Spring it here and it's hard to ignore the sunlight and stay home and rest. Monterey, Big Sur, Montana de Oro, friends, family. I just wish I had more time for it all.

Got some great shots at Pacific Grove and I'm looking into doing photo cards. Still trying to find my favorite canvas printer too. I just want to blow up every great pic and make my house and office a huge gallery. Soon.

Spring Flowers

I got a new lens this week. I went out to Pozo hills to get some shots of the wild flowers but most were already gone. Boy, spring rains mean to lot to those hills. But I did get some great shots of wild irises the week before while hiking in Montana de Oro. I'm so blessed to live on the Central Coast!

Wedding Expo in SLO

My niece and I covered the Wedding Expo at Madonna from end to end. Every booth was very tastefully decorated and the vendors were fabulous. Wow, the country has so much to offer.

I will be in a booth soon doing the same thing, showing myself and my work to the public eye-to-eye. When? April 24, Friday, from 5:30-7:30, at the LO/BP Chamber Showcase at South Bay Community Center in Los Osos. Please stop by and see me!

Princesses & Divas

Yesterday I did a photo shoot of 2 little girls parties through Applauze Eventz. The little ones were so cute but the older group was fabulous. I loved how the girls just soaked up the attention from the camera flash. And the costumes they put together were a blast. I hope the parents love the pics as much as I do.

ON IT'S WAY

My new sample photo books are on their way. I ordered 10x15 books with linen cameo covers. Today an email said they have been shipped.
