Big Family Send Off

Jeanette knew that she wanted a great family photo of all her children and grandchildren before her youngest went off into the military. The trick was getting them all together in one location that she liked for photos. I made several suggestions but in the end convenience won out.

So in spite of bright sun with intermittent clouds in mid-day, we all met at the Dolphin Bay Resort of Shell Beach for a 17-person photo session. The surprise for me was how sweet Jeanette's husband was every time he looked at her.

With a group that large, I did individual groupings and then pieced them together into one 30" panoramic image. Then, Jeanette ordered the pano on aluminum to really show off the group without a custom frame.

Shoot Me Before I'm Old

A dear friend asked me for something special, a great photograph of her as a gift to her grandson. Time was passing quickly and her grandson was already 4 years old now and she wanted him to remember her before time took any further tolls. So we scheduled a brief photo session at my studio.

With digital editing, age is not a problem but having the right touch of realism to balance it out is important. The finished product made her very happy and me too.

I know we accept our loved ones just the way they are but sometimes we want to be remembered for who we were also. Photography is a great way to capture the best of your image to the world. Don't delay. We are not promised tomorrow.
