New House, New Walls, New Pictures

"I need new pictures for my new walls," was the request from this customer. We met at one of my favorite locations a couple hours before sunset. The weather was perfect, the colors for this woman and her son were thoroughly harmonized and hardly another person was in sight.

But life is not without its challenges and photography is no exception. The wonderfully dressed 11-year old son was being moody and having trouble relaxing into a natural smile. Its common with kids who work so hard to please that their faces don't cooperate with the camera. Several times both the mom and I said "relax, shake it off, wiggle" to help this young man look natural. A few times we succeeded.

This is why I try to never rush a photo session. Some people need more time than others to look natural in front of a camera. Not everyone, just some. Oh, and the images turned out fabulous.
